The following people are the prinicipals of
Focus Studios. Some of these unique individuals
have taken it upon themselves to make unique personal web pages,
and these are accessible through the hyperlinks in their names.
Paul Chapman
(Pol) - After receiving his degree at Emerson College, Paul worked
at Chelsea Pictures, a commercial and music video production company
in Boston, producing, researching and developing film scripts
and working on documentatries for public television. Later, he
ventured out on his own and freelanced on more film productions,
until the lure of video games became irresistible, and he joined
Sony Psygnosis as a marketing assistant. When Focus Studios formed,
Paul jumped at the opportunity to put his marketing and game design
knowledge into working games.
Mike McCune (Programming Monk) - After spending
4 years at Wayne State University in Detroit, fulfilling the requirements
to receive the Extremely Valuable Slip of Paper, Mike started
working for a firm programming gambling software (well, actually,
it was insurance calculation software.) After some months of this,
Mike gave into his inner child and decided that writing games
was a much more interesting way to pass time than determining
how often cars got hit by lightning. Mike spends his free time
playing Warhammer and playing RPGs. Oh, and by the way, it really
bugs Mike when people sneak into the 10-items-or-less line with
11 items.
Mark Tsai
(Nice guy) - Former Development Manager at Sony Psygnosis' Massachusetts
office, Mark has been working with computer games for over twelve
years, and actively involved in creating, marketing, and publishing
them for more than six. Mark was involved in over 25 Psygnosis products,
including bringing the original versions of the mega-hit Lemmings
series of products to market on a variety of formats.
Sharad Puri (Master of the Culinary Arts) - Sharad spent much of his
development years in the study of people and human behavior. After reaching the conclusion
that the behaviour of mankind is driven primarily by lust and greed, Sharad
devoted himself to further understanding society through the study of religion
and language, or perhaps to read more about the aforementioned motives of humanity.
Sharad now spends his time handling accounts and marketing for Focus Studios,
the very embodiment of human societal issues.
John Wei (Artifex) - After spending much of his
time and money at the University of the Mitten-shaped Peninsula,
John was awarded with the Certificate of Four Letters. After deciding
against having B.S.E.E. tattooed on his forehead, John instead
gained employment creating an RF-tag operating system/compiler
for an automotive systems integrator, all while nursing a clandestine
interest in computer games. With "make it smaller and faster!"
as his battle cry, John revels in creating small, hyper-efficient
code engines, paradigms of programming efficiency.
